Using the Control Panel to Set Accessibility Options | Changing the Toggle Keys Settings

ToggleKeys provide sound cues when pressing the CAPS LOCK, NUM LOCK, and SCROLL LOCK keys.

Use the shortcut

Once you have decided to use ToggleKeys, you can elect to use the ToggleKeys shortcut to turn this feature on or off.

To use the shortcut

§         Press the NUM LOCK key for five seconds.

Before you begin

This procedure assumes you have already opened Control Panel and accessed the Keyboard tab. See Accessing the Keyboard Tab.

ç Select the check box if you would like to have additional keyboard help shown in programs.

On the Keyboard tab:

n         Click the Use ToggleKeys check box.

On the Keyboard tab:

n         To select the Use ToggleKeys check box, press T.

To use the shortcut:

n         Click Settings.

To use the shortcut:

n         Display Settings by pressing N.

In the Settings for ToggleKeys dialog box:

n         Click the Use shortcut check box.

In the Settings for ToggleKeys dialog box:

n         Select Use shortcut by pressing S.

Click OK, then click OK again.

Press ENTER, then press ENTER again.
