Using the Control Panel to Set Accessibility Options | Accessing the Background Tab to Change How Your Desktop Looks

The Background tab enables you to change how your desktop looks. You can change the background color, pattern, or wallpaper.

Display Properties: General tab

On the Start menu:

n Point to Settings.

n Click Control Panel.

Display the Start menu by pressing CTRL+ESC (or the Windows logo key).

n Move to Settings by pressing S.

n Select Control Panel by pressing C.

In Control Panel:

n Double-click the Display icon.

The Display Properties dialog box appears. The Background tab will be showing, and the Wallpaper list will be highlighted.

If the focus is not on Control Panel:

n Press TAB.

n Move to the Display icon by using the arrow keys.

n Press ENTER.

The Display Properties dialog box appears. The Background tab will be showing, and the Wallpaper list will be highlighted.

3	Select the Wallpaper that best fits your needs. n If you have wallpaper saved in another file: n Click Browse. n Type the file name. n Click Open.	Use the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys to move through Wallpaper list. n Select the Wallpaper that best fits your needs by pressing ENTER. § If you have wallpaper saved in another file: n Press ALT+B to Browse. n Type the file name. n Move to Open by pressing TAB. n Press ENTER.
4	To select how your wallpaper is displayed on your monitor: n In the Display box select Center, Tile, or Stretch.	To select how the wallpaper is displayed: n Press ALT+D. n Use the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys to move through list.
5	Click OK.	Press ENTER.
