Automating Tasks | Make AutoText Entries for Frequently Used Text

 

If you use certain words or phrases frequently, you may find it useful to add them to AutoText so you can easily enter them automatically as you type. Once you have added a word or phrase to AutoText, when you type the beginning letters of the word or phrase, an AutoComplete tip will appear on your screen with the word or phrase. To accept, press ENTER. To ignore the suggestion just keep typing.

On the menu bar:

n         Select Tools.

n         Select AutoCorrect Options.

On the menu bar:

n         Open the Tools menu by pressing ALT+T.

n         Select AutoCorrect Options by
pressing A.

In the AutoCorrect dialog box:

n         Select the AutoText tab.

In the AutoCorrect dialog box:

n         Move to the AutoText tab by pressing CTRL+TAB.

On the AutoText tab:

n         Select the Enter AutoText entries here box.

n         Enter the word you want to add.

n         Select Add.

n         Select OK.

On the AutoText tab:

n         Move to the Enter AutoText entries here box by pressing ALT+U.

n         Enter the word you want to add.

n         Add the word by pressing ALT+A.

n         Press ENTER.
