Change the Color of Text

Changing the color of text can sometimes help make documents easier to read for people with visual impairments, or it can help to emphasize words or phrases.

In your Word document:

n         Select the text you want to change.

Do one of the following:

To apply the color most recently used for text

n         Select Font Color on the Formatting toolbar.

To apply a different color

n         Select the arrow next to the Font Color button, and then select the color you want.

In your Word document:

n         Select the text you want to change by pressing SHIFT+ the arrow keys until all of the text is highlighted.

Do one of the following:

To apply the color most recently used for text

n         Move to the menu bar by pressing ALT.

n         Move to the Formatting toolbar by pressing CTRL+TAB.

n         Move to the Font Color button by pressing TAB.

n         Press ENTER.

To apply a different color

n         Open the Format menu by pressing ALT+O.

n         Select Font by pressing F.

In the Font dialog box:

n         Select the Font tab by pressing ALT+N.

n         Move to the Font Color box by pressing TAB.

n         Press ENTER.

n         Move to the color you want by pressing the arrow keys.

n         Press ENTER.

n         Move to the OK button by pressing TAB.

n         Press ENTER.
