On the menu bar:

n         Select Tools.

n         Select Options.

On the menu bar:

n         Open the Tools menu by pressing ALT+T.

n         Select Options by pressing O.

In the Options dialog box:

n         Select the Other tab.

In the Options dialog box:

n         Select the Other tab by pressing CTRL+TAB.

On the Other tab, under General:

n         Select Advanced Options.

On the Other tab, under General:

n         Select the Advanced Options button by pressing ALT+O.

In the Advanced Options dialog box:

n         Select or clear the Provide feedback with sound check box.

Note   Changing this setting will change all of your Microsoft Office programs.

In the Advanced Options dialog box:

n         Select or clear the Provide feedback with sound check box by pressing ALT+P.

On the Windows Start menu:

n         Point to Settings.

n         Select Control Panel.

Open the Windows Start menu by pressing CTRL+ESC (or the Windows logo key).

n         Move to Settings by pressing S.

n         Select Control Panel by pressing C.

In Control Panel:

In Microsoft Windows 2000 or later and Microsoft Windows Me:

n         Select the Sounds and Multimedia icon.

In Microsoft Windows 98:

n         Select the Sounds icon.

In Control Panel:

In Microsoft Windows 2000 or later and Microsoft Windows Me:

n         Move to the Sounds and Multimedia icon by pressing the arrow keys.

In Microsoft Windows 98:

n         Move to the Sounds icon by pressing the arrow keys.

n         Press ENTER.

In the Sounds and Multimedia Properties dialog box:

n         Select the Sound Event you want from the list.

n         Select the Name of a sound you want from the list.

n         Press OK.

In the Sounds and Multimedia Properties dialog box:

n         Move to the Sound Events list by pressing ALT+S.

n         Select the event you want by pressing the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys.

n         Move to the Name box by pressing ALT+N.

n         Open the Names list by pressing ALT+ the DOWN ARROW key.

n         Select the sound you want by pressing the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys.

n         Press ENTER.

To close Control Panel:

n         On the File menu, select Close.

To close Control Panel:

n         Press ALT+F, C.
